Two General Electric Turbines at Medway Power Station to Restart in August

CORDOBA, ARGENTINA--July 21, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Plant officials at the 660-megawatt (MW) Medway Power Station, owned and operated by Scottish & Southern Energy (LON:SSE) (Perth, United Kingdom), have announced that the plant's two General Electric (NYSE:GE) (Fairfield, Connecticut) 9FA gas turbines, named CT2, will come back online by August 15. One of the CT2 units had experienced a problem in its turbine blades, and the other experienced a compressor failure.
