February 13, 2025--Written by Amir Richani for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Brazil continues with its solid expansion of renewables. In January, 1.35 gigawatts (GW) of new capacity was added to the network.

The Brazilian National Agency for Electricity (ANEEL) estimates a boost in new power generation of 9.95 GW throughout 2025. Solar and wind energy are expected to dominate the expansion.
