Colombia Aims for 670 MW of New Renewable Capacity in 2025

February 6, 2025--Written by Amir Richani for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The Colombian Association of Renewable Energy (SER) expects 670 megawatts (MW) of new electric capacity from medium and large-scale renewable-energy projects to be brought online this year. Among the technologies are wind, solar, hydrogen, geothermal and small-scale hydroelectric.

Overall, 19 new renewable projects could be brought online across Colombia in 2025, totaling investments of US$500 million. Two of those projects started operations last month.
