Green Fades in French Elections: How Will this Affect Energy Policies?

In the first round of elections over the past weekend, Marine le Pen's National Rally (RN) coalition received about 34% of the vote in that round. Coming in second was the New Popular Front, a coalition of the center-left, environmentalists and the far left. President Emmanuel Macron's long-ruling centrist alliance landed in third with about 20% of the vote.
