METRO MANILA--November 21, 2024--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Hydrogene de France (HDF) Energy (Blanquefort, France) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) to develop locally produced green hydrogen in the Philippines using solar or wind power.
HDF Energy is committed to constructing 15 hydrogen projects worth US$1.5 billion, 10 of which will be on off-grid provinces in Mindanao. The first four projects, with 10 megawatts of electrolyzer capacity each, will be located in Olutanga Island in Zamboanga Sibugay, Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Sur and Zamboanga City, to start the country's renewable shift.
