JOHANNESBURG--April 9, 2014--Written by Richard Finlayson, Senior International Editor for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--After commissioning the fourth 660-megawatt (MW) unit at its Tiroda power project on Maharashtra, India's Adani Power (AP) (NSE:ADANIPOWE.NS) (Ahmedabad, India) displaced Tata Power (TP)(NSE:TATAPOWER.NS) (Mumbai, India) as the country's largest independent power producer. It now has 8,620 MW of installed generation capacity, topping Tata Power's 8,560 MW.
