September 27, 2022--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Hurricane Ian roared across west Cuba Tuesday morning as a Category 3 storm on its way to Florida's west coast. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said the center of Ian was expected to move over the southeastern Gulf of Mexico, pass west of the Florida Keys later Tuesday and approach the west coast of Florida within the hurricane warning area on mid-day Wednesday and Wednesday night.
