Peruvian Solar Power Capacity is Expected to Increase by 2,447 MW by 2028

April 9, 2025--Written by Amir Richani for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Peru has a solar energy portfolio with a combined capacity of 2,447 megawatts (MW), which are expected to come online by 2028, according to the Peruvian Association of Renewable Energy. Twelve of the projects are in the Arequipa, Moquegua and Ica regions and will be connected to the national electric system (SEIN), while two of them will be isolated systems in the Loreto province.
