December 14, 2022--Written by Daniel Graeber for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Two new offshore wind projects in the U.S. territorial waters of the Atlantic Ocean could provide enough power for 1.3 million homes and put the government closer to its maritime wind energy goals, the Biden administration said.
The government published the draft environmental impact statements (EISs) for the proposed Coastal Virginia and Sunrise wind energy projects slated for the nation's East Coast. If approved, they could boast a collective capacity of 4,000 megawatts (MW) of power, enough to meet the demands of 1.3 million homes.
