Klesch Group will not operate the Caribbean 225,000-barrel-per-day Willemstad Isla refinery in Curacao as previously agreed due to the current spread of COVID-19 and an inability to move personnel from Europe to the island. Authorities plan to select new operator in the upcoming months. All processing units, still operated by PDVSA, remain offline due to unplanned events, followed by a lack of crude feedstock and financial issues, and will be kept as such until at least until November.
