March 27, 2025--Written by Paul Wiseman for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--U.S. primary energy production in 2024 set an all-time record at 103 quadrillion British thermal units (Btus), according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), whose records extend back to 1950. Additionally, U.S. primary energy exports reached 31 quadrillion Btus, a 4% rise over 2023 numbers, which was also a record. The information was included in the March 2025 edition of the EIA's Monthly Energy Review, released on March 26.
