Malaysia Building Two 1,000-Megawatt, Coal-Fired Power Stations

JOHANNESBURG--October 7, 2013--Written by Richard Finlayson, Senior International Editor for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Malaysia's Tenaga Nasional Bhd (OTC:TNABY) (TNB) (Kuala Lumpur) will construct two 1,000-megawatt (MW), coal-fired power plants in Manjung, Perak, to meet the country's rising demand for electricity. The two plants will primarily supply the domestic market. Construction is due to start soon, and completion is scheduled for 2017.
